Men's Altama® 8" Tan Desert EXOSpeed II Boots

Comment: These boots are awesome. They feel like i am wearing running shoes. They also offer lot of ankle support. I have not twisted or rolled my ankles since I have been wearing these boots. They are a little uncomfortable at first with the tongue of the boot. I have worn standard military issued boots for the last 8 years, and I have never worn a military boot as comfortable as this. I would reccomend this boot to any soldier.

Comment: I bought these boots for my son in Afghanistan. Most comfortable boots around. Made his feet feel great, right out of the box.

Comment: These boots are lighter than tennis shoes, but tough as nails, and ridiculously comfortable. My feet have never been happier. I do dismounted patrols 6 days a week in northern Iraq, and my feet have never had problems. My feet do sweat excessively in these boots, especially when compared to the army's standard issue "hot weather" boots, but that might just be a problem i have, im not sure if it will be the same for you. they are not very thick, and they DO have ventilation.

If you are in iraq, or afghanistan, or any APO address, beware of "The Sportsman's Guide" seller. They wont tell you or warn you before you order, they wait until you pay them then they tell you they will not ship to your APO address. What kind of crap is that? sell combat boots, but they wont send them to combat soldiers serving in combat zones. They are the first company I have come across that will straight up not send a soldier something in an APO adress, which by the way, IS A U.S. ADDRESS. Get these boots, just not from the sportsman guide. Its been 4 days since i payed for the order and i still have not received a refund.

If you are deployed and need these boots, you can get them from a website out there that will not charge for tax OR shipping to APO addresses. I cannot put the website in this review, sorry. It's not hard to find though if you are looking for these specific boots.
