Summary: Excellent Chippewa Work Boot 2010-05-14
Comment: My son wears a very large width boot and this one meets that criteria. He wears his boots everyday ~ he is in farming, and we have been buying boots every 3 mos. These we purchased about 6 weeks ago and so far they are holding up beautifully! Excellent quality boot.

Comment: Being in the military I know the importance of having great fitting footwear. There are military boots I'v worn for years that I'll never replace but unfortunately getting back into the civilian workforce there are some criterias my boots needs to have to work safely in an environmental industrial field. One is steeltoes. I have tried numerous types that I won't name (still good boots but not for me) and usually the problem is the fitment and the steeltoe itself.
All I can say is that this pair of boots fits like a glove. Usually with steeltoes the problem I have is either the toes r too tight or too wide and the steel itself digs into the top of my feet. These doesn't. I barely feel the steeltoe. The inside is nicely cushioned and hugs your feet nicely. The soles have great traction. Walking through wet floors, mud, dirt, etc. is cake. It also has good ankle support. Nice and firm.
Only thing I can think of that is somewhat of a downer is that these boots are a bit heavy. That's not a big problem, though, coz after a day or two you'll be used to the weight.
This is my first pair of Chippewa boots and so far since I've had it for over a month it has been good. I sometimes just wear it when going out not just for work(with a good cleaning of course). All in all, its a great pair. I will be buying again when the time comes!!
