Summary: Good boots for the long haul 2007-03-02
Comment: I bought this item in 2002 (not from Amazon. I got a better deal at the local Harley Davidson store). I was looking for a pair of ankle boots that had a fair amount of metal on it, and this looked like a good fit. Sure enough, it hasn't disappointed.
Through 5 years, I have put it to heavy use on a daily basis. It is my everyday footwear, and it has held up well. It could go another 5, in my opinion, if not for a couple of factors, one inevitable, the other a design flaw. The inevitable is the wearing out of the heel sole. The design flaw is the weak zipper on the sides. I like the boot snug against my feet, and one of the zippers just gave way in the first six months. I have taken to wearing it with the zippers open. Thats why the 4 stars.
Overall, a good investment for Harley apparel fans.
