Summary: Poorly made shoe 2010-08-24
Comment: Don't waist your money. Buy a pair of cheap sneakers, they will last longer. Even though these shoes were very comfortable, they completely fell apart in about two months of wear. I was not hard on these shoes at all. I wore them at home and around town. I only hiked in them two or three times on short, easy hikes. Shame on Merrell for putting out crap like this.

Summary: Not a bad shoe, but not a great shoe 2010-08-13
Comment: The first time I wore these shoes, they were great. When I finally wore them on a short day hike I understood what everyone was talking about with the back of the shoe digging into the back of my ankles. I continued to use them, with moleskin of course, and after a few more hikes they seemed to break in and now I have no issues with the shoe digging into the back of my ankle. They are an extremely comfortable shoe, but it seems you might have to break them in a little so the shoe won't dig into the back of your foot.

Summary: Blisters and foot pain severe where I couldn't walk while wearing 2010-08-01
Comment: After wearing these for two days, the heel cut into my Achilles tendons and left me with blisters, bloody socks and extreme pain that I couldn't even walk while wearing these. I'm going to contact the manufacturer to get a refund. What a waste of money.

Summary: avoid 2010-07-23
Comment: Same as the previous reviewer posted. Went through 2 pair, soles separated from shoe. Horrible quality to price ratio.

Summary: Feels Good! 2010-07-16
Comment: These shoes are comfortable for me the minute I put them on. Always a good sign. I also have foot issues i.e. nueropathic pain, low back and leg pain. These shoes offer good support and are VERY comfortable. I also don't like bending to tie laces (with a bad back) and with these shoes you just pull the tabs and go. I've always found Merrell shoes to be comfortable and these might be the best yet. I wear them most every day.
