Product Review
Product Description
The Men's Omnium Leather sport sandal offers the same qualities as the traditional Omnium but with the added benefit of durable waterproof full-grain leather. The Omnium Leather is a great shoe for travel, light duty off-road adventures, and will hold well in amphibious environments, but is not intended for extended forays in the water.
Amazon.com Product Description
Teva's Omnium hiking shoe brings the best of both worlds. This part-sandal, part-shoe hybrid has the light weight and breathability of a sandal, along with the added foot protection of a shoe. It also features three points of adjustability for enhanced fit and comfort.

Summary: Good Sandal- For Two Weeks 2010-08-08
Comment: It does pay to read reviews and had I read the reports of the poor quality of this sandal before purchasing them, could have saved myself some trouble. The shoes were very comfortable, but unfortunately poorly constructed. After using them no more than ten times for light duty, such as biking, walking and two trips to the beach, the sole seperated from the sandals both at the heel and toe areas.

I was able to return the sandals to the store from where they were purchased and also wrote Teva about the quality issues. I received a form letter back from the company, without addressing my concerns, so basically that does it for me with Tevas. Business must be good enough that one customer's legitimate complaint was not handled in a more personal manner.

Summary: Sandals WITHOUT soul (or sole) but with product liability 2010-08-03
Comment: I purchased a pair of Teva men's Omnium Leather sandals last year. I am EXTREMELY disappointed! The sandals have failed in four (4) locations and are failing in a fifth. I sent pictures to Teva showing:
1. Right sandal heel on right side came unglued within three (3) months of purchase. I glued the rubber back in place thinking that the problem was just an aberration. Then the following occurred.
2. Right sandal sole on right side came unglued.
3. Right sandal sole on left side came unglued from the left side all the way through to the right side.
4. Right sandal heel on left side is coming unglued.
5. Left sandal sole on inside has come unglued.

I do not wear shoes hard and have done nothing to cause the failures. It is obvious that if I continue to wear these sandals, they will fail completely and I could injure myself while walking, climbing stairs, etc.

Summary: Great Shoe - More Poor Quality 2010-06-24
Comment: Purchased these shoes September 2009 and they were very comfortable for a couple of vacations, 9 months later the sole is separating on both shoes. Seems to be a common theme with this Teva model. I have 2 other models of Tevas that are several years old and wearing well, this one has problems. Have contacted Teva about getting a repair/replacement, but the process takes several weeks.

Summary: Fall apart sandals 2010-05-17
Comment: Owned these for less then three weeks and the sole started coning off. I've spent several hours now and several tubes of shoe glue fixing and re-fixing these sandals. I see other people have posted pix showing the sandals sole separating from the sandal. I'd give it less then a star if the system allowed that. Do yourself a favor- look elsewhere for your sandal needs.
