Amazon.com Product Description
The Pit Boss is everything a work boot should be: Safe, tough and really comfortable. First off, the steel toe construction meets ANSI safety standards and offers a roomier toe box than other boots. This means no foot pain even after long hours of hard work. You've also go an unsurpassed traction-grip for working on wet or slippery surfaces and electronic hazard protection to keep you safe from open circuits. On the comfort front, a removable sock liner proves blisters don't have to go hand-in-hand with hard work. And finally, these boots aren't anything if they aren't tough. Go ahead, just try and wear them out.

Summary: all in all a good boot 2010-03-02
Comment: With the initial break in, about 5 days, I would have to say that I would buy another pair. I can't say how long they will last. But, I will try to give a follow up review in six months.

Summary: Great boots! 2010-02-12
Comment: These are the best boots I've ever had. I do work outside professionally and these makes footwear not an issue. Other boots I've had have caused blisters over extended use, but these haven't. The leather on the toe have been nicked a bit now, but that I consider normal wear and tear. True to size in my case.

Summary: The Only Boot I Will Ever Buy 2010-01-13
Comment: These boots are such nice boots, TimberlandŽ just got a customer for life after my first pair of these beasts! I personally am just a 17 year old guy who does more walking than most people. I attend a private school were switching classes every is a half-mile ordeal which occurs about 7x a day. After school I work as a cashier and do other various jobs at a clothing store standing the whole time. Not only do these work boots blow away other work boots I've had but they also beat all the sneakers I've had in the past. I've had almost every brand of sneaker mind you though my experience with work boots is pretty limited. In the past I've had Sears brand boots which sucked more than anything else. Don't want to turn this onto a review on them but they stunk like s*** and were being destroyed by the winter salts. Already got my dad a pair from work and plan on getting myself another pair, one to kick the hell out of and one to keep nice. I suggest if you are buying these go for the steel toe, I have not noticed the steel comfort wise nor temperature. Overall a great boot for the price!

Summary: good, not great boots. 2010-01-04
Comment: I should start off by saying that I may be a lttle spoiled -- 2 years ago I paid $175.00 a pair or Terra work boots and they were the best boots I've ever owned. This time around I was trying to save a little money and I didn't think that there would be that much of a difference between the $175.00 Terra boots and the $100 Timberlands. Unfortunately I was wrong.
The Timberland Pro Pitboss boots seem like a good pair of boots for someone who only needs to wear them occasionally. They appear to be well made and they've held up well after two months of use, but for everyday use they're a bit heavy and bulky. They'll get me by for now but I've already started saving up to go back to the Terras.

Summary: Good boots, some rubbing and wear issues 2009-07-22
Comment: I purchased these boots about 2 1/2 years ago and have been wearing them close to 5 days a week since then. I kept them clean and treated with Sno-Seal a few times a year and they have lasted quite a long time.

Aside from the normal practice of replacing the insole every 6 months, I'm looking for a new pair of boots because these have worn through the liner at the back of the heel and on the inside at the steel toe causing holes in pretty much every pair of socks I have. Also, the lower part of the sole has also started to separate from the upper on both boots. I will probably buy another pair since they have been the longest lasting work boots I've owned. If you try them on in a store to ensure a proper fit before you buy them and keep them clean and treated, I believe these boots would last the average person many years.
